Once Upon a What?

To play this game, you need a copy of Once Upon a Time, a storytelling card game by Andrew Rilstone, James Wallis, and Richard Lambert. These rules are not by any of those authors, nor is this project in any way affiliated with or endorsed by the authors or the publisher, Atlas Games.

This particular variant marries some of the cooperative mechanics of Hanabi to the fairy tale storytelling of Once Upon a Time. This version of the game is more focused on working together as a team to create a fun and satisfying fairy tale, as opposed to the (still-often-fun!) gonzo word association improv and occasionally frustrating competitive elements of the original game.
